My mission today was to find a Goodwill store that had eluded me last year. This particular Goodwill was much farther than I had realized, hence why I never found it last year. But I persisted, and I finally found it! And the best part? It was HUGE! Finding the store was totally worth the effort - sadly, I didn't find anything on the trip. Start donating your good stuff, people! I had lots of fun searching for treasures, and I'm looking forward to a repeat trip in a few weeks.
Here's what else we accomplished today: We went out to breakfast this morning, hit the aforementioned Goodwill and a couple of retail stores (Hubby was on the hunt for a new chopping knife), and then drove around the county we live in to discover new places. We did a lot of driving today. But finding new places is always worth a trip.
I also made another visit to the library today; this time, I wanted to work on some genealogy research. I hadn't touched my family research since April, and I have been itching to do some searching. I spent two hours this afternoon in my library's special collections room - the geek in me had a very good time. I'm hoping to do more research later this week.
Total spent today: $25.84
